Chicago's Mayor Is Losing Her Reelection Bid

The word Chicago is a Native American word for a smelly, wild onion.

They used to grow downtown before everything got paved. Chicago politics live up to that odorous name. That's what happens when the same Democrat party controls the city, for going on 100 years now.

Lightfoot wants another term.

The election is in late February, and the polls show her trailing the nine candidate field. Her team has become carelessly desperate.

The other day they sent out a suggestion to all Chicago school teachers that they encourage their students to devote 14 hours a week, each, volunteering for her reelection campaign. And…that the teachers give those students full academic credit.
