CenterClip Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the CenterClip mobile app. It describes how we collect, use, and share information within the app and when you interact with us. If you have any questions about our privacy practices, contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Us” section below.

1. We collect information from and about you.

We collect several categories of personal information about you, depending on how you interact with us and our app. For example:

We collect contact information. For example, we collect your name and email address when you create an account.

 

We may collect purchase information. We may collect information about your purchases within the app. We may collect information about your purchase history, such as what you purchased or browsed through. We may collect information about your shopping preferences.

 

We may collect payment information. We may collect billing information, such as your credit card information and billing address if you make a purchase.

 

We collect demographic information. We may collect information like your gender and age. We collect location information. We may also collect information about your general location, using your zip code and IP address.

 

We collect information you submit or post. We collect the information you post in a public space on our app. We collect audio via your device’s microphone if you post clips on the app. We collect your photo if you provide one for your profile. We also collect information when you contact us.

 

We collect device, Internet, and network activity information. For example, if you use our app, we may collect information about the device and operating system you’re using. We may collect information about how you interact with our app, including the areas you visit, the creators you engage with, and the content you view and interact with. We might also collect your IP address and device identifiers.

We collect and develop Inferences. We may draw inferences about you, your preferences, your interests, and your characteristics using the pieces of personal information collected about you.

2. We collect information in different ways.

 

We collect personal information about you from various sources, depending on how you interact with us. For example:

We collect information directly from you. For example, we collect information if you create an account or post an audio clip on the app. We also collect information if you contact us.

 

We collect information from you and your devices passively. We use certain tracking tools to collect information. We do this when you interact with our app, our ads, and emails that we send to you. We collect information about users over time when you use this app. We may have third parties collect information this way. Learn more about these tools and how you can control them, in Sections 5 and 6, below.

 

We get information about you from third parties. For example, our vendors and business partners may give us information about you. Social media platforms and advertising partners may also give us information about you.

 

We combine information. We may combine information we get from another party with information we already have. We may also aggregate your information with other consumers’ information to understand preferences, interests, our audience, and trends over time.

3. We use information as disclosed and described here.

 

We may use each of the categories of personal information described above for the following purposes:

We use information to provide you with the app and related services. For example, we use your information to operate the app. We might use your information to respond to your feedback, requests, or questions. We may use your information to fulfill a purchase.

We use information to improve our products and services. We may use your information to make our app and content better. We might use your information to customize your experience with us.

 

We use information for security, safety, and due diligence purposes. For example, we may use information to protect our company, our customers, and each of our personnel. We may also use personal information to protect our app or our services, and to detect and investigate activities that may be prohibited.

 

We use information for marketing purposes. For example, we might provide you with information about new content and features. We might also tell you about special offers or updates. We may send this information by email or via push notifications. We might also use your information to serve you ads about content and offers. These might be third party offers or products we think you might find interesting. To learn about your choices for these communications, read the “Choices” section below.

We use information to communicate with you. For example, we may communicate with you about your feedback or our relationship. We might also contact you about this Policy or our Terms of Use.

4. We may share information.

 

We may share each of the categories of personal information described above with the following other parties:

We will share information with our other brands and within the CenterClip corporate family. For example we may share information with our parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities.

 

We will share information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf. For example, we share information with vendors who help us with things like processing payments and sending emails for us. We may also share information with service providers that host our app or run a promotion.

 

We may share information with advertising partners for their marketing purposes. These third parties may include social media platforms. We may share email addresses or other contact information with social media platforms and partners so they can serve our advertising on their platform. Personal information received by these companies may also be subject to their privacy policies. These third parties may also share your information with others. These third parties may use the information for their own marketing purposes or the marketing purposes of others. This may include the delivery of interest-based advertising.

 

We will share information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law or to protect ourselves. For example, we will share information to respond to a court order or subpoena. We may share it if a government agency or investigatory body requests.

We might share information when we are investigating potential fraud. This might include fraud we think has happened during a sweepstakes or promotion. Or we may share your information if you are the winner of a sweepstakes or other contest with anyone who requests a winner’s list.

 

We may share information with any successor to all or part of our business. For example, if all or part of our business is sold we may share personal information as part of that transaction.

 

We may share information for other reasons we may describe to you.

Note that we may disclose aggregated and/or de-identified information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

5. We engage in interest-based advertising.

We and our partners display interest-based advertising using information gathered about you over time across websites, apps, or other platforms. Interest-based advertising or “online behavioral advertising” includes ads we and our partners think are relevant based on your browsing habits or online activities. These ads might be served on websites or on apps. They might also be served in emails. We might serve these ads, or third parties may serve ads. They might be about our products or other companies’ products.

 

To decide what is relevant to you, we use information you make available to us when you interact with us and other third parties. We gather this information using the tracking tools described in this Policy. For example, we or our partners might look at your purchases or browsing behaviors. We might look at these activities on our platform or the platforms of others.

 

We work with third parties who help gather this information. These third parties might link your name or email address to other information they collect. That might include past purchases made offline or online. Or, it might include online usage information.

6. You have certain choices about how we use your information.

You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails. To stop receiving our promotional emails, follow the instructions in any promotional message you get from us. Even if you opt out of getting marketing messages, we will still send you transactional messages. These include responses to your questions.

You can control tools on your mobile devices. For example, you can reject permissions or turn off notifications on your phone. You can delete your account on our app. To do so, visit your profile settings

You can control certain tracking tools. Your browser or device may give you the ability to control cookies or other tracking tools. How you do so depends on the type of tool. Certain browsers can be set to reject browser cookies. To control flash cookies, you can go here. Why? Because flash cookies cannot be controlled through your browser settings.

Our Do Not Track Policy: Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals. If you block tracking tools, certain features on our app may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop.

Certain options you select are browser and device specific, and are deleted whenever you clear your browser’s cache.

7. This app is not intended for children.

This app is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children without permission from a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child has given us information, you can email us at privacy@centerclip.com. You can also write to us at the address listed at the end of this Policy. Please mark your inquiries “COPPA Information Request.” Parents, you can learn more about how to protect children’s privacy on-line here.

8. We use standard security measures

The Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our app will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet. This includes not sharing your passwords.

9. We may link to other sites or apps or have third party services on our platforms we don’t control.

If you click on a third party link, you will be taken to a platform we do not control. This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of that website or platform. Read other companies’ privacy policies carefully. We are not responsible for these third parties.

11. We may update this Policy

From time to time we may change our privacy policies. We will notify you by email of any material changes to our Policy as required by law. We will also post an updated copy on our app. Please check our app periodically for updates.
